Just a quick summary note:

Great Cruise. Very relaxing. Only missed one port because of storms (Iceland). Met up with Eileen and Marion (contributors to this Board) for a couple meals together. Met other mil retirees, but none from the Board. Did the spread the good news about Pepperd.com. What a way to avoid jet-lag!

Don,

I sincerely hope that you will be able to join us on this cruise. It would be great fun to have another space-a'er aboard. Of course I think it is a great value and an interesting itinerary with a chance to get back to the USA.
Should you be successful in booking this cruise please let us know so that we and John will be able to meet up with you. We are departing for Europe on Monday, September 1. Good Luck.

John, There is a website called CruiseCritic.com. On that website you are able to register for what is called a "meet and greet" with fellow passengers. We plan on registering for the "meet and greet" function. However, it would be nice to get together separately because of our military background. My husband, Marion, and I live in Dearborn Heights, Michigan and will be departing via commercial aircraft (frequent flier miles) on September 1 to Paris for four days and then on to Eastern Europe for a tour. We will be departing Warsaw on the day before the cruise (September 16) and hope to catch a little Danish exposure prior to boarding the ship. Good Luck on your space-a connection to Mildenhall. Keep in touch.

John, suggest you and Eileen, pick a day, time *& place on board one of the first at sea days, than post that on the community bulletin board that is most time by the pursers desk. Lois Web & I did that last year and we ended up about 25 people. It went so well that we all met for dinner again one evening.

John,

What a surprise to see your post about your cruise on the Crown Princess from Copenhagen to Ft. Lauderdale (Sept. 17). We have just placed today a 24 hour hold on this cruise and are finalilzing our air and hotel arrangements. We definitely have to get together on this cruise and talk over old war stories especially since we will have several days at sea. I wonder if there is anyone else out there that might be joining us.

John, that sounds like a fabulous cruise. How are you getting to Copenhagen - Space-A or commercial? Would love to join you, but we have prior plans.

Decided to celebrate my wife's 60th (plus a little mid-term R&R) by booking an 18 day cruise (Crown Princess). 17 Sep to 5 Oct: Copenhagen-London-Dublin-Belfast-Reykjavik-Qagortoq-St John's-New York-Ft Lauderdale. Fabulous price! Would love to see some of our Board, onboard.
