We are sooooooooo spoiled. :-)

We're sitting here in Mazatlan, Mexico using FREE cruise certificates from USAA. Got a 5 night stay at this fantastic resort that overlooks the ocean. Pueblo Bonita @ Emerald Bay. By far one of the nicest resorts we've ever stayed at. 5 stars all the way. USAA gave us this package after booking our last cruise with them.

We're really more excited about the upcoming med cruise in Nov, but we just couldn't resist this great "freebie". Today took one of the resorts "sales pitches" and they gave us $200.00 off our food and drinks to boot. Almost makes this stay totally free.

My only Royal Caribbean cruise was 10 days, so only one cruise credit. Our two transatlantics have been with Cunard and we took two cruises this year with Princess.

But, we still have another 9 months here, so I hope to get in a few more cruises. Unfortunately, my girlfriend who went traveling with me while our husbands were working has PCSd back to the states and I haven't found another friend who has the flexibility to take the last minute deals I find.

DeeDee, it took only 3 cruises to gain platinum status to start getting cruise discounts. We had taken a short 5 day cruise several years back and two transatlantic crossings with Royal Caribbean which gave us a total of 5 credits. 1 credit for the short one and 2 credits each for the two 12 day cruises. When you combine them with the military rate it sure makes for a nice affordable price.

Our last transatlantic cruise we had some room issues that could not be resolved and Royal Caribbean gave us some coupons for $200 off any future cruise we took with them. They let us use all discounts together so we got the Jr. Suite for only $799ea on this 12 day Barcelona / Med cruise.

If you've been on a couple Royal Caribbean cruises already then this cruise will give you another 2 points to a reward level status. If you can prove you took previous cruises with them they will give you credit for those also no matter how long ago it has been.

Dee Dee~~ I'd be curious on how you liked the Brill of Sea. Condition of rooms, meals, service, etc etc. We are taking her in May 09 for 11 day Med Cruise to Greece, Egypt, and a few other locations. That's a really great price. I hope they reduce mine. Give us a run down after the cruise. Happy Cruising!

Thanks for that great update, my wife and I are now seriously considering this cruise. What a great deal. How are you getting to / from Barcelona? Will you be traveling Space A?

Royal Caribbean is offering military rates on their 12 night cruise aboard Brilliance of the Seas, departing Barcelona on 13 Nov. Oceanview cabins are $699, Balcony $899, Junior Suites, $999 or splurge on a Grand Suite for $1199. Wow, a Grand Suite for $100/night, unbelievable! This is not a crossing either, it is a round trip Barcelona cruise.

We were already booked on this cruise, and Royal Caribbean reduced our already good rate to the military rate.

I don't know how long this offer will be on. It was not there on Friday, but appeared on Saturday.

You can call Royal Caribbean and place a 24 hour hold while you see if the cruise works into your schedule.

Sorry, if I sound like an ad, I am just happy with the new rate we have and wanted to pass it on. We have three families from RAF Lakenheath/Mildenhall going on this cruise.
