Cruise Info..Passport needed.

Read in a travel magazine that starting 31 Dec 2006, US Citizens flying or cruising to the USA from Canada or Mexico will require a passport to re-enter the USA. Starting 31 Dec 2007, any US Citizen re-entering the USA from Mexico or Canada via ship, plane or automobile, will require a passport. Nothing was mentioned about those walking across. The time we cruised in Hawaii, we didn't take it, figured we're in the US don't need it. Wrong, we stopped at some Island that was not US, so we had to go to the imagrattion roll call. This new requirement comes in effect 31 Dec.05.
