Did Uniworld a few years ago and it was a really wonderful trip. But you have to go thru a lot of Locks. Be sure to keep you head down when you go under some of the bridges - it is very close to the ship from the bottom of the bridges. At one bridge we even had to lay our deck chairs flat on the deck. There is not much traffic on the river - it is really peaceful. |

Vantage is certainly a top end company-somewhat similar to Tauck, etc. You may also want to consider Viking or Uniworld for comparison of features, price, etc. |

If you enter Vantage travel. Then click om "Castles Along The Rhine and Danube" you will get more information then I could give you. The cruise was 16 days.and around $10,000 for two. This included air from Washington Dullas. We went from Budapest to Amsterdam. If you go get A cabin with french balcony. We were treated very nice and the food was great. River cruises are much better then ocean cruises. Then I was in the Navy 20 years You only go around once. So go. |
