We missed out on the last Space "A" Cruise Ship - Any plans in the future for another cruise for Space "A" Travelers? |

We are taking our daughter and a grandson both of whom are seasoned cruisers. Our grandson really enjoys the kids programs on the ships. He is missing one day of school to do this one as they have no school that Fri. or the following Mon. We are well aware of the kid population on Carnival, but also aware that this time of the year there are less kids on board. |

When you cruse Carnival - you better like kids (I do - over medium - just kidding!) They cater to the younger crowd. We took 26 of our family to Mexico a couple of years ago. Had a great time - but it is geared to youngsters. |

We are taking the Sensation 10/23 out of port canaveral and will plan on taking a bottle of wine each as well as a few sodas. On longer trips we sometimes take a few bottled water as the ship charges a lot for theirs. We only take them to shore with us and sometimes bring the individual packets of peach tea to mix with it. |

In the Caribbean, don't forget about the U.S. Coast Guard Exchange in Saint Thomas and San Juan. It's almost cheaper to drink brand name liquor and rum then soda pop!!! Lots of souveniers too. Enjoy your trip... |

We are taking our first cruise on Carnival. From what I am seeing, they allow you to bring your own wine and can drinks is this right? Thanks |

We have sailed on the Glory several times anywhere from an outside cabin to the balcony cabin at the back of the ship. We do also prefer the eastern caribbean. All cabins have a mini refrig. that we utilize to store our white wine or soda. Are you aware that you may each bring a bottle of wine each? We try to remember a cork screw and the room steward will bring wine glasses and wine chiller. We find that the food is pretty consistant and good quality. My husband always looks forward to the warm chocolate melting cake for dessert. While at St. Thomas try to get over to St. John's national seashore for snorkeling it's beautiful or we have also done both the catamaran and sailboat snorkel tours. St. Martin is a fabulous place and does have great liquor buys. We own a condo in Cape Canaveral and do not park at the pier but understand that it is now $12/day. We have met other people that have stayed over night at local hotels that will allow parking for the week as well as transport to the ship and back. That to me would be a good bargain for most folks. The other thing I like about the Glory is the tv is interactive to check your acount or order tours and also check the menu of the dining room. I do find that the entertainment is either very good or very poor. All in all you can't beat the bang for the buck that a cruise can offer. |

Al, we like the Eastern Caribbean better than the Western (don't care much for Mexico, etc.). If your itinerary includes Sint Maarten, be advised that we found THE absolutely lowest cost liquor prices in the entire area at the grog shops there (notably better than in St. Thomas) -- especially if you pay in cash (U.S. dollars). |

We booked a cruie in early July of this year 08. This will be our 5th.we always go with Royal Caribbean but this year my commander said why not a change. Yes i made reservations with Carnival. this will take us to the Eastern Caribbean on the ship Glory. will leave the 20th and return on the 27th. I know this will take us thru xmas but our 5 kids said go for it. just send the checks before you leave'''I feel you can't beat the value of a cruise. If anyone has sailed on the Glory please let us know your feeling of this ship and what your thoughts are. Thank You Al Orange City Fl. |

Jim, I wouldn't bother taking your laptop on the cruise. The ships don't have WIFI. They want to charge you money to use their computers onboard. The ships give you the opportunity to buy internet access. I have done five cruises. You will love it. |

Jim - Cruise parking is $10-$12 a day and there is ample spaces. If coming from out town, there are several motels in the area with free parking while you are crusing, if you spend the night before the cruise. They will shuttle you to the dock and pick-up on your return after a phone call. You can goggle motels with cruise parking in the Canveral area. Bahamas for your fist cruise, is like Space A. Once you have done it, you will want to go more and try different places for longer times. And don't be shy asking for second or third helpings at dinner. |

Jim, Enjoy your first cruise. This was also my first cruise. I really enjoyed Nassau, especially Atlantis and a tour of the capital and old forts, etc. Our driver was very comical (wife's name was Bahama Momma) and made the trip very nice. You have to take a bus/taxi to go to the hotels/beaches in Freeport. I didn't have a computer when I went about eight years ago, so can't help you there but do a little homework upfront on things to do, narrow your list down and enjoy. I stayed in a local hotel where their van will take you or you can just drive and park yourself. Lee |

Anybody taking Carnival Sensation Cruise from Port Canaveral to Bahamas on 10/5/08? Wife nor I, have never been on a cruise, any pointers would be appreciated, especially going to Bahamas. Has anybody left car at Patrick AFB, if so what is procedure? Is a laptop computer any benefit on cruise? |
