If you are going to use a voip at home with a router look up viatalk.com I have used this for 2 years and am very pleased with the service and the price. The package I bought was $199 for two years and I just renewed for a 3rd year for $149

Has anyone tried "Ooma"?____ It hooks up directly to a router or modem. No need for a computer to be on. I've read "claims" that it has clearer sound. Also seems to "claim" no monthly/yearly fees.

http://www.ooma.com/

COSTCO has it for less than the web site.

Magic Jack for home service has not been very reliable.
