I bought a pair of Maxell noise canceling headphones about 2 years ago in the PX at Pearl Harbor for around $40.00. I think that they are excellent and I am pleased with them. |

I think it is diminishing returns. I paid about $60 for NC headphones from Sony at Sam's Club and they are perfectly adequate. You can pay 5x as much but you certainly won't get 5x more noise reduction. Roger in Jacksonville, FL |

Can anyone provide information on Active Noise Cancelling Earphones? I did some research before my recent trip and the Bose system appears to be the Gold standard. The price, however, $300+, is pretty steep if for something that will be used infrequently. I found a unit manufactured by The Sharper Image for around $30 and bought it and used it on my recent Space-A trip to Europe. It provided some noise relief but not really much. So my question, can anyone recommend another Active Noise Cancelling earphone in the $100 or less neighborhood. Thanks. |
