Yeah, I know it's a long drive. That's why we're stopping over in Stuart on the way down and Melborne on the way back. Maybe we'll get lucky and there'll be a flight from Jax to NAS KW? I'd even take a helo but I bet the wife would kill me! She has no sense of humor when it comes to "rotary wing aircraft". If we can hook a ride down the a one way rental through Hertz to Jax is a little over $200 for the week. |

There are also some vacation rentals run by MWR on Trumbo Point. Some are old 3-bedroom housing units that MWR rehab'd and trailers (I bet excess FEMA trailers). If the Space A god is good to us we'll be on the rotator into Jax on Saturday and checking into a 3-BR on Sunday :-). |

I'm a retired Navy Chief, and my 1st school after A-school was in Key West. Is there still a Navy Base there, and a Navy Lodge? Thank you, Ryan |

There is a marina at Boca Chica NAS and there is one at the Sigsby housing area behind the Navy Lodge. |

I know there are plenty of civilian marinas in the area. Are there any on the base, like there are at Hickam and Pearl Harbor in Hawaii? |
