Here's another carry-on - not secure as the MetroSafe, but at least a carry-on. No need to check it in. http://www.skyroll.com/ |

GJZ, It's the MetroSafe 200 I bought, not the VentureSafe bag. Melinda's link is the correct one. Even better, John D. found it at Amazon for $52 + shipping....excellent! I bought one black and one brown. The brown is a beautiful rich color. I'm still gaga over this bag!!! |

The brown one is only $52.00 from Amazon (via Altman Luggage Co.) with $7.50 shipping. |

If you can't find this purse, my husband ordered it for my birthday on Amazon for $64.95 and no shipping charges. Thanks for mentioning this great accessory, we just returned from Spain via Rota. Could have used it all over Spain. |

Thanks, I will have to look at it. ebags.com has PacSafe bags on their site and have a 20% code right now. |

Is this the same bag you are referring to? It is showing the price at $49.00. If it is I want to order it right away. Thanks! http://www.pacsafe.com/www/index.php?_room=3&_action=detail&id=130 |

GJZ, I revisited the website and the price for the MetroSafe 200 is $64.99 (I was wrong about me paying $75.99). However there are several different sizes and they differ in price. The MetroSafe 100 is $44.99 but has smaller dimensions. To find dimensions for each bag, click on the tab (next to "anti-theft features") that says "specifications". I just tried my Acer Aspire One in my bag and it fits perfectly but I definitely don't think it would fit in the smaller bag. Hope this info helps! |

Dimensions are 11 x 11 x 4 1/2. Perfect for our 10-inch netbook. |

Joan, the pacsafe website says price is $49 for the Metrosafe 200. Is this the same one you wrote about? I don't see where it gives measurements. Is it big enough for a 10in mini-laptop? If it is then it is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks! |

Joan, good advice! I agree that the MetroSafe 200 is a wonderful bag for SPATs. My husband and son share it as a carry-on--it holds all our electronics, including headphones and the netbook. I lug a tote bag with the snacks and jackets on the plane, but when we are out sightseeing, the MetroSafe bag holds everything we need, including water bottles. I purchased mine through Magellans and got free shipping because I was a first-time customer and agreed to join their e-mail list. |

Oh my gosh! I have just found the perfect travel bag with wonderful security features. I've read alot about pickpockets and robbers targeting tourists in Europe and that prompted me to search for some type of secure bag. I found it on www.pacsafe.com, ordered it and received it today. I purchased the MetroSafe 200 (one for hubbie and one for me). The shoulder strap has a steel cable in it and the body of the bag is made of a steel mesh material that defies cutting. The zippers are tamper-proof as well. Best of all it fits my IPAD and would fit a netbook. It seems roomy enough to fit meds, a guidebook and lots of other odds and ends. I think it is the only carry on bag we will each need. It's to be worn across the chest with an adjustable strap. It's a bit pricey at $74.99 but I think it is good value for the money. Check out the website.....there's a video or two explaining the bags. I'm in love with mine!! |
