Earl, please do the trip report, we met you on the bus from Seville to Rota and thank you for showing us around Rota. See you made it back to WPAFB, after passing on our Dover flight. No luck getting a Dover to Charleston flight, so we rented a car from Dover to FL.

On my first visit to McGuire I was surprised to see the flight kitchen located in the terminal. I was even more surprised to discover you eat there...which I did and have since.

E.L.

I understand you can now eat that the Air Force main dining facility on McGuire (or used to be called McGuire) AFB Base.

Someone posted that recently on the board.

Glad trip report helped.

I just got back from trip to Spain/Portugal.

May make trip report.

Ooppsss, we didn't know about eating at the main dining facility. Would that be the AF, Army, Coast Gard, Navy or the federal prison (they are all here)?
BTW, thanks for your trip report on Spain last fall. We just returned, it helped us in navigating about. Especially about the part on the civil guard pulling cars over in road blocks. We saw a number of those. They carry fully automatic AK-47s or equivalents. However, they just waved us through.
We saw a large number of power generator windmills (would have driven Don Quiote crazy) and solar cell panel farms.
We are going back!

yep,,,eaten there lots of times when living in the terminal.

They let anyone eat there.

But I understand retirees can now eat in the main dining facility on base?

Someone posted that not too long ago.

We came across the McGuire Flight Kitchen, located in-back-of the USO room at the air terminal. It is open from 1100 - 1300, Monday through Friday and 2230 - 2400, Monday through Sunday (7-days) a week. The food is great and inexpensive.
