Jim got this e mail from a friend today, and I want to share it will all of you, because she is talking about all of you. "Today is a day for thanksgiving and remembering. I give thanks to each of you who have served this great nation. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sacrifice, your selflessness, and your love of this great country. As I sit here this morning I am moved when I think of the freedoms we all enjoy, most of which we take for granted. The USA is served, and has been served by freedom loving men and women, many of which made the ultimate sacrifice. May we, as a nation, NEVER forget what it takes and has taken to secure this freedom. May we remember those who daily watch over each other, and ultimately the great United States of America. Humility is a word many do not like to use, but ask a veteran about their service and this is what you get, a man or woman who is humble. "Just doing my job," is what they will say. We know it is/was much more than, "doing my job." |

A new USO in Fort Riley, Kansas, will open for troops and their families on May 25. On May 29, 1903, legendary comedian and USO entertainer Bob Hope was born. Remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our Nation this Memorial Day, May 31. |
