I noticed on Niagara Falls Air Base website that Darien Lake (Six Flags) amusement park was offering free admission to those with military ID & $14 each for up to 6 guests for Memorial Day Weekend. Website did not state active duty, so I emailed the park & asked them if this included retirees.

I didn't get a response, so instead of calling to inquire, I decided I was just going to go, and say, "I have a military ID." If they said active duty only, I'd pay, no complaint.
When driving through to pay for parking, I asked if $8 parking was free today for military, she waived me through & said, "Yes, thank you for serving." My military ID worked for admission, so the day for the 3 of us cost $28, vs. $130 plus tax.

If it doesn't state active duty military, just show your ID and see what happens. This also happened in NYC, Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center, much better view that Empire State Building.) Admission was $8.50 instead of $22.
