Here is a narrated film featuring WWII aircraft carriers and their air crews, all shot in real color film (not "colorized"). Despite the somewhat heavy-handed propoganda, it's very worthwhile to watch. Those old aircraft seem awfully primitive now compared with today's, and their pilots and crews true Iron Men:
