I got a set of glasses from Zinni http://zennioptical.com/cart/home.php . I paid $52 for operscription "no line" bifocals with coating in a nice frame. They got here in about 3 weeks, fit perfectly and were supprisingly light. My old pair were safety glass and very heavy, these were plastic and very light.

Quite satisified with them

Steve

I bought a pair of glasses from Zenni Optical after reading about them here. I paid about $12 for a regular pair (nothing additional - no bifocal, extra coatings, etc. )and about $25 for prescription sunglasses. Both are just fine and I've received compliments on the glasses. I usually wear contact lenses so wasn't worried about having high quality/durable glasses. The down side is that you have to guess what will look good on you - I got lucky!

I also have a pair of NOSTRA's BCDs! :-) I only wear them in the dark. When I'm alone. lol

Seriously, tho', they ain't bad as a pair of emergency glasses, especially since they cost nothing.

Dakota Ray - Don'T KNOW ABOUT THE REST OF THE GROUP, BUT I GET MY EYE GLASSES FROM NOSTRA, AM PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS, AND THE PRICE IS EXTREMELY REASONABLE - "FREE". THE WEB SITE IS NOSTRA-CustomerService@med.navy.mil. Give it a try, can't hurt.

My first (and only) transaction with Zinni was a disappointment, but I've known others who used them and loved the result. They weren't very military-friendly when I used them.

Greetings: I recently ordered a pair of Oakley polarized prescription sunglasses from their Federal government department at www.usstandardissue.com and was extremely pleased with the result. Paid $220 for them. That might seem high, until you discover that you can't touch the same frames and lenses at a commercial retailer for less than $450.

I know this was covered recently.
I thought that I ran a copy of the posts and I also thought that I "bookmarked" it.

I can find any of that now.

Someone posted a company that they ordered glasses through and they were pleased with the results. I do remember the price was extremely reasonable.

Can someone furnish it here or send me a private email with the company and web site?

Thanks in advance!!
