Yep, decals will feret out the bad/defective vehicles. It's the individual's ID card that makes the difference. That is the main factor coupled with an alert gate guard. |

I'm sure they are still laughing at Ft. Hood as well. And, I will bet a dollar to a donut that all bases will go back to decals as well. |

If some AWOL slob wants to blow up MacDill and he gets caught, good for the guys on the gate. Security is security -- they did their job just fine. But Jack, some of us prefer not to take ourselves too seriously. The lighter side of the news can often make it go down easier. Just don't chuckle if you don't want to. |

Latest I heard was that it as an AWOL Army guy who wouldn't show his ID & was evasive at the gate. He had rifles in his car & plenty of AMMO. |
