Here's the link to a newsreel clip from 1944 about the construction (all wood) and prowess (top speed more than 400 mph, can maneuver and even land safely on only one engine if necessary) of the 2-engine fighter-bomber "Mosquito" aircraft manufactured by Haviland in Australia.
