We (my family of 4) did this trip in March, only to Montgomery, Al. When we got into Jackson it was about 1am. We should have been there sooner, but they had to take a patient to the burn center in TX first. Because we couldn't get a car that late the pilot drove us to a near by hotel. The next morning I got up and made my rental car res. over the phone because I have learned it's usually cheaper than in person. Then I used the hotels airport shuttle van and when the driver asked who our flight was with I just said Delta and we were dropped off there. HTH.

I rented a car from the local Budget(Nov). They are located in the Walmart at Flowood, Ms. Their hours are 9-6. They will pick you up at airbase but not airport. I got there after 6. Including hotel cost they were cheaper than airport.

Son used to be a manager at Enterprise. They seem to have a business model that is one that is based on local rentals. They seem to allow some one way rentals within their group of branches (often 4-8 branches) There cars are assigned to a branch location and they frequently trade them around the local area but are not into one way rentals. Wish they were though.

If you are in need of a one-way car rental, Enterprise is not your friend. We only got a one-way from Enterprise one time in Ontario, CA as it was an emergency. We had to beg, plead, and use brute strength to talk them into it.

Bill,
All the rental car agencies are on the civilian side of the Jackson airport. Check their hours of operation online to insure they will be open when you arrive.

Bill, I have been planning a trip this spring to KJAN. Here is a link to the rental car companies located in the terminal. It also appears that they are all open late (2300L). That should suffice for the late arrival of the KADW flight. Let us know how it went. Adam
