Redleg: if you want to park at a base, don't go to Belle Chasse. That is too far out of the way. Simply go to the Navy Base located in a town known as Algiers which is directly across the river from New Orleans. Not 100% certain but strongly feel Security Office will allow you to park on base during your travels. You can then get a taxi to the airport however I am not sure of the cost. Let me know when you plan to do this and I will see what can be done. |

The LA army national guard has jackson baracks just past the quarter they have parking. The taxi cost me the last time from the navy Term to MSY airport 42.00. Also the navy next to the creson bridge across the miss has parking. Tim |

Sorry I cannot remember name of motel but there is one directly across from the terminal that has park and ride with a shuttle that will take you to the terminal. |

I am not familar with buses nor taxi's. I presume a taxi would be high. Here is an option for parking. Motels / hotels often have park and ride for airports or cruises. I did one in florida recently. Google New Orleans + park n ride and see what you get. Dont know location of cruise port but you could probably get some where in the middle of the two. |

I will be driving my POV over to New Orleans then we will be flying out of New Orlean Airport(civilian UGH!) to Boston where we will catch a cruise that ends up back in New Orleans.So here are the questions.
1. Is there space a parking at the Navy base at Belle Chase?(I know where it is)
2. Is there transportation from Belle Chase to New Orleans International? Scheduled transportation? Both to and from airport?
3.Cost of transportation?
4. Cost of Taxi ,limo, etc from Belle Chase to airport? Then airport to Belle Chase.
As you can see I am trying to save 18 days long term parking charge at airport.
