Lane, I have rented a car from Rota pax terminal many, many times and have always driven to Portugal where I would spend a week or so. I don't recall ever asking the agent if there was a prohibition to such travel, but I don't remember seeing any signs addressing it. |

I wouldn't think so. The agent at Rota didn't blink an eye when I asked if there was a problem taking the car to France. He said no problem. Well, he did think that I was a little off to take the small car that I had rented. I asked for and got phone numbers just in case I had vehicle problems while in route or returning. |

Does anyone know if there are any problems in renting a car at Rota and driving it into Portugal before returning it to the agency at Rota? |
