David, check and compare prices for the airport and the city itself. Airports often charge an airport tax on rental cars, and it can be substantial. |

Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. Sounds like cabbing to the airport makes the most sense. David |

City buses come on main post (Ft. Bliss) but not on Biggs Field. I don't think there's a car rental agency on Biggs, either. There's one on Main Post but the ones at EP Int'l are just as close to Biggs. Taxis are allowed on main post, so I'm sure they're also allowed on Biggs. Driving distance from Biggs Operations/PAX to EP Int'l is only 3 or 4 miles, so taxis won't be that expensive. |

It looks like we have an opportunity to fly to Biggs this weekend (we hope). We are hoping to rent a car there and drive to Arizona. However, there is no discussion on ground transportation on John D's web site for Biggs/Ft Bliss and nothing that I could find on Pepperd. Does anyone have information on rental cars either at Biggs and/or availability of transportation from Biggs to El Paso International? I know the two landing fields are very close, maybe 2 miles. However, can we get a cab or other transportation to the Airport or Rental Car agencies? Thanks, David |
