I just left Travis last week, I'm at Hickam now waiting for a flight to QPG via OKO..anyway i spoke to Stan and he verified a rumor that he was a victim of theft, ~$910 from his van, while he was parked in front of Westwind Hotel, sad... |

Last Friday I was at Travis waiting for a flight to SC. Stan was in the terminal and was attempting to help a cat 6 couple heading to Las Vegas. I overheard him calling all ground transportation options for them attempting to get them the best deal. It looked like he went above and beyond. |

What a blessing it would be to have a company like Stan's Chaperone Service at all Gateway bases. His service to the Travis community is well documented on this site. Happy Travels. |

Look at the AMC Gram one more time. The 877 number is for Shuttle California. This company is not in the terminal very often but I have never heard any complaints. Stan is a retired Marine so getting on and off the base is easy. Please reach by cell 707 761 4430. He does not have a toll free number. The service is licensed with the State. Safety and a caring service seem to be key. The service has become a viable part of the Travis community. |

Contact numbers for Stan's Chaperone Service are listed in the Travis AMCGRAM http://www.spacea.net/amcgrams/amcgramtravis.pdf There is also another thread (Travis Ground Transportation) that talks about the great service Stan provides in the Ground Transportation Forum: http://www.pepperd.com/spacea/messages/989/346380.html?1266378768 _ |

A really helpful piece of information would be his cell number or E-Mail address. |

I was at Travis a couple of times and used his service. I just donated $5.00 for gas money. It beat walking back to the PAX with a backpack and luggage. JOHN . . . Mesquite, Nevada |

Anyone know about Stan's Chaperone Service at Travis, I was there on the 18th and 26th last month. He was at the terminal asking if anyone needed a ride to lodging or the BX, no charge. but would take you off base for a fee. Four of us went to the BX, and he agreed to pick us up in 1/2 hr. While there, he came back in about 15 min and said "lets get going they want you back at the terminal" I think he and his son are offering a great service to pax at Travis His name is Joesph Jones Sr. Ret.
