Was that through Hertz Joe? If so, apparently the four day max rental didn't apply. |

Just got back from the one way rental at Fort Lauderdale, dropped the car in Milwaukee airport. We flew down to Key west from the air national guard in Milwaukee. We rented the car for two weeks total cost $166.00 thanks PR for the info. |

Too bad they limit it to 4 days this year. Last April I used that offer to rent one at Tampa with a turn in at Newport News for 14 days. Total was $274 for a Mercury Grand Marquis. |

Alamo has not as good a deal but covers more states (Texas) and will let you have more days on the rental. Rates of $10 or $12 per day but when you add the airport fees it almost doubles it to $20 per day. Turn it in by May 31. http://www.bestfares.com/news-newsID2368-Our_Number_One_Fly_Drive_Travel_Deal_Fo r_Spring_Travel.html |

Time for Hertz to get their cars out of Florida. I put in Tampa Airport to the Hertz place in Dover for 3 days in mid-April. It came back with a total price of $28. Here is their stuff: Do you need to drive one-way out of FL? If you're heading north for the spring or summer, you can save by renting from Hertz for as little as $1.00/day, with unlimited mileage and no separate drop-off charge. It's as easy as $1, $2, $3. Just ask for RQ “1WAY” in your reservation of an economy car in January for only $1/day, February for $2/day, or March for $3/day, for a rental between April 5 and June 30, 2010. Maximum rental length for this promotion is 4 days. Pick up your car from one of these airports: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, or West Palm Beach. Return the car to any participating Hertz corporate location in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, or Wisconsin. |
