Hi Leland, Thanks you for the nice words about our USO. We try to do our best and we enjoy meeting both active and retired military folks. " Best cup of coffee in Dover, Delware. Made with a Little bit of love just for you not more than five minutes ago!" CHEERS wfm |

An after thought. Past practice is that you must have a pass displayed (on the dash) which you receive upon flight selection. My procedure is to drop luggage and spouse at the terminal and park in the lot in front. After selection I hot-foot it over to the lot and return. Sometimes folks will be returning to the terminal in their auto and offer a ride. |

Karen: Welcome to the Board! If you have not yet done so, please familiarize yourself with JohnD's SpaceA Pages (link top left), the general layout of this site and the Search Function (magnifying glass at top center) of this site. Nearly all questions can be answered from those three sources. Having read thru the FAQs is a great start and I would suggest reading thru the other sections on JohnD's site as well. For example, the answer to your question is found at JohnD's Spacea Pages, CONUS Locations, Dover, Long Term Parking: http://spacea.net/mediawiki/index.php?title=Dover_AFB And, yes, long term parking on Air Force Bases is among the safest places to park your vehicle for any period of time. Happy Travels, John |

Yes there is secure long-term parking about 1 mile from the terminal and a short walk (at least for this 70 plus) in reasonable weather. Have parked there many times. |

Does anyone know if there is parking at Dover, and is it safe? I would be leaving my car there for a week or two? Thanks!! |

Hi cw4pitt, i just called pax terminal and they said a 40' would be a problem. However, there is a storage facility across base near the AMC Museum that does store trailers etc. on a long term basis.. Call the base operator for the number of the rec center and find out how much it costs. The security may be worth it. Since i work in the USO, if we coordinated your travel arrangements, i'll give you a ride for free to the site and if possible back to the site when you return if i'm home..We travel too SPAT. Good luck on your sojourn. |

I too have seen large RVs parked at the long-term lot. For an easy answer call the pax terminal at 302-677-4088. |

I have seen Motor homes parked at Dover in the past. Don't know if they were as big, but a good size.In the past they had a 60 day limit. |

This is my first posting. I would like to know the posssibility of parking a 40 foot Motorhome in long term parking at Dover. My wife and I will be trying to space A to Germany in early May and will arrive there in our motorhome(we are full-timing RV-ers). Our back-up plan is to park it in a storage facility. |
