If you find that the only seat available to northern California is heading to Beale AFB, as we did on a recent trip, here are a few ground trans options to get you to Travis. The ground crew will take you to the lodging office as there is no passenger terminal. 1.Taxi(about $45) to Hertz in Yuba City and drive about 90 miles to Travis. 2. Bum a ride out the main gate to Yuba College , about 4 miles outside the gate on n Beale Rd. At the college you can catch city bus #1 ( YUBA-SUTTER TRANSIT) to the Hertz office on Grey ave( KMART center stop). Bus fare is $1 ( $.60 65 and older) 3. Bus #1 also stops at the Amtrak station in Marysville. Amtrack has 4 departures a day($25pp) which take you by bus to Sacramento and then by train to Suisun-Fairfield where you can get a taxi or call Stan' Shuttle Service(707.761.4430) to Travis. 4. Super shuttle($50pp) to Sacramento Airport. Super Shuttle will also do point to point by calling 1.800.622.2089 for group rates. I hope this helps, Tom |
