Are Taxis allowed on NAS New Orleans?

It's a heck of a long way from the commercial airport to NAS NOLA. You either want to have a pretty good wad of cash in your pocket or rethink your plan. I can't provide you with specifics because I haven't been there in years, but when I was a young sailor (think wooden ships) I took a bus from the city to the base.
