Mcchord to tacoma

I think they shut down at 9pm and open at 5am. Last bus off base leaves commissaary (2miles from terminal) about 7pm. Over half of McChords billets are down for renovation. Depending on the time you arrive the bus may not be very convenient. There are no rooms available at McChord or Ft. Lewis. We can get a good rate at a Marriott in Tacoma. We plan to get a rental car but the rental car agency will be closed when we get there. What would be the most economical way to get from McChord to our hotel in Tacoma. Thanks for your help.
