Danny, Try this link for your trip report. Alicia, check the spacea.net Moron Wiki Page as it contains the info DBM posted as well as a map and last known schedule. Also, check the spacea.net Rota Wiki Page for commercial options between the two locations. |

Alicia, I cannot find my trip report from my Space-A trip to Moron AB and Madrid I took in Nov 2009, or I would have posted a link for you to read in detail how to get between Moron and Rota. Basically, you could take the workers' bus from Moron AB to Sevilla (the bus driver let me out 1 block from the commercial bus station), then catch a bus to Jerez, then another bus from Jerez to Rota. Very cheap and an easy way to get between the two military installations. I had no trouble taking my small, roll behind luggage with me on any of those buses. On the big commercial buses, the luggage is stowed underneath the passenger compartment. I spent nights in the Hotel Frontera on Moron AB and could eat in the dining facility as well. You can walk to anywhere on Moron AB easily and there are schedules posted for the workers' buses(there are more than just the one going to Sevilla). You catch those workers' buses just behind the Moron dining facility. Seats available only if the bus is not full of their intended passengers....workers. None were full when I rode them, and the passengers were friendly and helpful. If you want more information, please email me. I am happy to share information. |

Alicia, we were in Moron last Sept and traveled to Rota via the worker's bus to Seville right in front of the Plaza de San Sebastian bus station. That bus station is where you want to go to catch the bus to Rota. We were able to bring our small luggage with us as the bus was not full. You might want to ask the driver or the passengers if it is going to the bus station. If not, follow Don' advice below. From the bus stop, you can take a cab to Plaza de San Sebastian for the bus ride to Rota, instead of the train. It's not too far and relatively inexpensive. Good luck. |

Alicia, I couldn't find it either, but this is from John D FAQ. "How Do I...?" How do I get from Moron AB to NAS Rota using ground transportation? (Current as of Aug 08) The lodging office on Moron AB has schedules of the worker's buses that operates between Moron AB and Seville. These buses are free and available on a Space-A basis. Do not bring luggage aboard these buses. One worker's bus has a route between Moron AB and Seville with a bus stop near the Cruz Campos brewery in Seville. It is only a ten minute walk from this worker's bus stop to the main train station, Santa Justa, in Seville. Once a week on Wednesdays, a shuttle leaves Moron AFB and travels to NAS Rota and then back to Moron AB, if needed. It is free to ride this shuttle on a Space-A basis. You can also reverse the instructions on the Rota page to travel between these two locations. Hope that helps. Don |

I believe we have discussed Moron at one time but I cannot locate the thread. Is it pretty easy to get to Rota upon arrival at Moron? Any info is welcome! |
