AMTRAK could be a good option, but be aware that one will change from train to bus at Bakersfield, for the balance of the trip to L.A. Union Station. The train portion of the trip is relatively short. |

AMTRAK will also get you to LA. A bus from Lemoore's south side will take you a short hop to Hanford AMTRAK station. |

There are flights from time to time between Lemoore and North Island. It might be easier to get to L.A. from North Island than from Lemoore. Other than that, my suggestion would be a rental car. On the Lemoore web site, under Navy Exchange, there is a mention of car rental: https://www.cnic.navy.mil/Lemoore/Programs/FacilitiesandEnvironmental/BaseServic es/NavyExchange/index.htm Lemoore is roughly halfway between U.S. 99 (to the east) and I-5 (to the west), and either route will take you south toward L.A. Personally, we prefer I-5, because just before you reach the interstate, you'll see the Harris Ranch complex. Both the dining room and coffee shop offer excellent meals. |

What is the best way to get from the NAS Lemoore to Los Angeles, CA? It appears to be a couple of Hundred miles. |
