After I do a search on a website such as breezenet.com and find the best rate, sometimes by going directly to the cheapest companies website, you can get a better rate. I, also, use the coupons from the Entertainment book (if it is available to you in your area) and they are almost always the cheapest and usually you get an upgrade.

I had a mini van reserved with Hertz at the Philly air port last week. It was going to be around $550 for a week. The day before we left I start checking prices, and got the same van from Alamo for $200 less.
