Baby Huey: Norfolk has no parking for cruises at the dock; there is cruise parking .5 to .75 mi from the pax terminal; abt $10/day I belive. A shuttle will take you to/from the ship. It will be a pretty good cab ride from the nearest military base, Armed Forces Staff College, Hampton Blvd, to the ship. I'd take Mr Steven's offer quickly before he changes his mind. I have also provided transport to/from the ship & kept the cruisers car at my house till he returns. |

Wish I could pay $4.00 per gallon. My Daughter is going on a cruise out of Norfolk in June. Is it the 3 day one? |

Another way to avoid paying for parking is to arrive in Norfolk via public transportation and make one's way to the dock via local means (bus &/or taxi)! With gas near $4 a gallon this might be the least costly method, depending on cruise length? |

Baby_Huey, There is no nearby military base to Waterside. I don't know how much parking there will cost, but don't think it will be cheap. I live 10 minutes from Waterside, you are welcome to park at our place. I might be able to run you there for the cruise also. Steve |

Ft. Story, Little Creek, Oceana NAS, Norfolk Naval Station, Camp Pendleton. All of these bases might be a cab ride from the port. |

My kid (USAF E-3) is going on a Carnival line cruise in JUN. Any good ways to beat paying for parking at the dock? Maybe a nearby military base? Thanks in advance. bf |
