Gary, Keep looking! Try Hotwire, Kayak.com, Rental Companies using various discount codes, etc. I would estimate that I spend at least an hour research before I make a reservation. I recently got a rental for my daughter to get back from S.F. to Sacramento. The prices started at around $85 and we ended up with Thrifty for less than $30. 13 months ago I rented from Avis though Hotwire and it was less than Enterprise away from the airport. This was Avis at the Jacksonville Airport. It takes some computer work and research of discount codes. It depends on how important the cost is!! No rental cars are "cheap". The best you can do is get the best price for the date and location. The only cheap rentals are when the company wants to get cars to a specific location. I did find that the best Hotwire rates seem to be late on Monday evening and early on Tuesday. |

Gary, with discounts I did a one-way rental of one day from Andrews AFB to Chicago. Started out at $170 but got it down to $130 once I arrived home. Next week a one-way rental from Chicago to Scott AFB for one-day $102 which is a little more than twice the Amtrak fare. |

Gary, There are several lists going around. www.rentalcodes.com This is the one a prefer because it gives me the amount of discount and who I need to be associated with. You can also Google Auto Discount Codes or the Company name such as Avis Discount Codes or Hertz discount Codes, etc. Are you looking for a specific company or location? |

Some time ago I saw some information on discount codes for car rentals. Can anyone tell me where to find them now? |
